ENCHANTED RIVER in Hinatuan
A lot of people believe that the Enchanting Blue River of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur is protected by fairies, pixies and mermaids at night. These fairies, pixies and mermaids gather together to play and sing around the crystal clear water of the river.
The left side of the river was said to be 80 feet deep that somehow attract divers who were brave enough to explore the much more amazing underwater fissures.
It is indeed an Enchanting river because the big fishes of different species swim in the clear blue water, ignoring the tourists and divers who were busy taking pictures of the river.
Some people said that the river hasn’t changed at all because of the pixies, fairies and the mermaids who protects the place from outsiders.
Different generations also said that some tourists got unexplainable body pains, itches and afflictions after taking a bath in the river.
But still, there is no need to be afraid. The only thing that the visitors and the tourists have to do is to respect the environment if they do not want to get any unexplainable afflictions.

BRITANIA GROUP OF ISLANDS in San Agustin
My Hometown's Pride
A group of beautiful, untouched islands of Surigao del Sur's best ket secret, specifically in the municipality of San Agustin.
The most visited island among the group. It is surrounded by different and unique rock formations on one side; on the other are the powdery white sands stretching along its picturesque shoreline. Its idyllic and unique landscape is an ideal place for sunbathing, swimming and overnight camping. It is famous for its rock formations and the grotto. The water surrounding it was so clear it looked like a huge swimming pool.
On the opposite of Boslon Island, you can find the exquisite and enticing Hiyor-hiyoran Island. This captivating island is the second most visited island after Boslon. Its scenic landscape and pristine surroundings makes an ideal place to unwind and relax. It is also a perfect place for swimming, snorkeling and beach combing. Its shoreline is a home to a variety seashells, particularly, the little bear conch, locally known as the "sikad-sikad".
Further away, about 5 minute boat ride, one can be mesmerized by the enchanting Naked Island, a long stretch of pure powdery white sands lying idle and naked in the middle of the bluish green sea waters. It has neither vegetation nor any foliage, just raw and pure powdery white sands. During summer season, Naked Island is the abode of a number of migratory birds, taking refuge on its long stretch of sands after a tedious flight. On a rare occasion, you can see them hovering, feeding, frolicking and jesting to and fro on its bare powdery white sands. This rare occasion is a breathtaking sight to behold.
